In simple words
- Send enough information for us to identify the content and the copyrighted work.
- Only submit a takedown request if you have a good-faith belief that the use is unauthorized.
- False or abusive notices may have legal consequences.
Notice requirements
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the copyrighted work.
- The OpenYourLetter URL or letter ID containing the allegedly infringing content.
- Your name, email, mailing address, and phone if available.
- A good-faith statement that the use is not authorized.
- A statement that the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized agent.
Counter notices
If your content was removed and you believe it was a mistake, contact us with the removed URL or letter ID, your contact information, and an explanation. We may request additional information before restoring content.
